The UK Advertising Export Group is an industry partnership with UK Government to accelerate profile and lead generation opportunities in key international territories including China, Japan, South Korea, North America and Europe. Its founding partners are the Advertising Association, the IPA, APA, DMA, London & Partners and the Creative Industries Council. The UKAEG is right behind the UK Government’s industrial strategy to grow exports globally and seek out and cultivate new markets.
The Export Group features 50+ of the best companies drawn from across the UK’s advertising and marketing services industries. Every company in the UKAEG shares the same collective ambition to work together, collaborate and do business around the world. The group builds on the UK advertising industry’s Promote UK group which has supported more than 100 companies at major industry events around the world including this summer’s Creativity Is GREAT campaign at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. It also serves to harness the brilliant work of organisations such as the APA and IPA in showcasing the UK’s status as the global hub for advertising to a worldwide audience.
UKAEG and its members experienced a successful 2020, where despite the global pandemic the Group created approximately 146,000 opportunities to meet and hear from the UK companies in its community. The Group’s marketing drive ensured that UK advertising was visible and travelled virtually to key markets such as the USA, China, Europe and South Korea.
It launched its first virtual trade mission which included 19 presentation slots and hosted networking events with China and South Korea during Lions Live. Its second trade mission delivered over 55 new business meetings for members and UK Advertising was the headline sponsor at the inaugural PHNX Festival. UKAEG also launched the ‘Made Global’ campaign film developed by UKAEG members, adam&eveDDB and The Mill.
